I hope this letter finds you well. I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart as a mother deeply concerned for the well-being of my beloved son, Hakeem.
Since the day he was born, Hakeem has been grappling with chronic chest and lower limb pain due to a congenital disorder.
Witnessing Hakeem’s struggles has been an indescribable pain for me, as I find myself in a constant battle against helplessness.
If only I possessed the power to take away his suffering, I would do so without hesitation.
At the age of 11, Hakeem faces the daily challenges of stiff muscles, spasms, and an inability to move freely.
The haunting cries of pain in the middle of the night creates an emotional turmoil for a mother who loves her son beyond measure…
In 2017, we sought medical advice from Nawabash Hospital, where a doctor recommended surgery as the viable solution.
However, our financial constraints have placed this crucial treatment beyond our reach. The reality is that without the surgery, there is no treatment, no progress.
Although it’s reassuring that we can manage the pain, the continuous expense to ease Hakeem’s suffering is overwhelming.
What’s disheartening is recognizing that the total cost of lifelong pain management equals the amount needed for a single surgery that could change Hakeem’s life permanently.
The thought of my 11-year-old son being submerged in a cocktail of medications is unbearable.
I yearn for him to experience a life free from pain, to move freely, and to find joy in the simple pleasures of childhood.
I am reaching out to you, not only as a plea for financial assistance but also for your compassionate support. Your contribution, no matter the size, could help us afford the surgery that holds the key to Hakeem’s liberation from the chains of pain. If, for any reason, providing financial aid is not feasible, I kindly ask you to include Hakeem in your thoughts and prayers, hoping for a future where he can live life unburdened by pain and spasms.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering our plea. Your support means the world to us.
